How long can a caption be?
Instagram captions are commonly limited to about 2,200 characters. Only part of the caption shows before “more,” so the first line still matters for hooks even when you have room to write longer.

- Lead with the point; put hashtags or CTAs lower if needed.
- Draft in a notes app, then run a character check before posting.
